Walkthrough: Right, this mission calls for some intense combat skills as well as top notch convoy escort skills. Why do players have trouble with this mission? Its because they often neglect their charges and let the enemy bombers take out their transports, so listen up! Defending your transports and freighters is your number one priority. Screw the Manticore you were chasing because its probably keeping you busy while a wing of Nahema's takes your convoy out to lunch.
When the mission begins, a friendly capital ship is pounding on the Abraxxis, a Shivan corvette. Ultimately, the Sobek class corvette is doomed, however, blowing away the forward beam cannon on the Abraxxis with a Trebuchet and then clearing out the first wave of bombers will give the corvette enough time to wax the Shivan capital ship. Once the Abraxxis is destroyed, get back to defending your transports. Wave after wave of Shivan bomber will approach. Try and get the bombers before they launch warheads, but if they slip past, shoot the warheads first. Ignore the Shivan cruiser that enters the area slightly later, it won't become a threat for another minute or two and there are more bombers that need killing.
After the majority of the Shivans have been destroyed, don't let your guard down. There are a few more bombers that will try and sneak attack your convoy. Keep a close eye on all your transports and try to assign your wingmen between actively engaging enemy fighters and guarding.
