Little is known about the mysterious species called Tyrannus Pendere or the Shivans. Thanks to the recent excavations in Altair we have learned the tie between the Shivans and the extinct race we call the Ancients. Live Shivan specimens have shown us a great deal of data. We do not know what the appendages on the top rear of the specimens are meant for, but we do have many theories.

They could be used as "arms" but may also be useful for keeping balance in a null gravity environment, which we suspect they are accustomed to.

We have some evidence to prove that the Shivans and the Ancients traded and thrived off of each other.

According to the ruins at Altair the Shivans were a species built by the Ancients using brain data of their dead rulers to manifest the shells they created. The Ancients built space faring vessels four hundred and fifty thousand years ago. They expanded to the far reaches of space. Similar ruins have been found on Cygnus Prime, Vasuda Prime and in the system of Capella. These systems have small ruins as if they were outposts.

The recent discovery of the mysterious Martian tablet that read "Sa'un'kanuur, Kowau teru howakay sei "expands our thoughts about the ties among the Ancients, the Vasudans and, Terrans. The Tablet is over fifty thousand years old. This pre-dates Human and Vasudan civilizations so this raises the question of how the Vasudan language got to the Sol system. Or if the Vasudan language even originated on Vasuda.

Sa'un'kanuur means the great demons in Vasudan. An ancient myth among the Vasudans says that the great demons came and stripped their planet bare. They were almost destroyed by the demons until they disappeared suddenly and vowed to come back. This would explain the radical Vasudan splinter group called The Hammer of Light. But the other half is written in a proto proto-indo European language called Austric, which is a language suspected to be over eight thousand years old. It reads "The legends are true beware." This is indeed a bazaar mystery that has taken many turns.

The Martian tablet is made of a rock formation similar to that of the ruins in Altair. Could the Ancients have suspected that both our species were potential space farers? Was this a warning? How could it have been in a language that didn't come around until six thousand BC? Did the ancients visit Earth? We have no evidence to support this theory. But we do know that many cultures on Earth have filled us with awe with their engineering talents like the sphinx, pyramids of Egypt and the Easter Island heads of the South Pacific. Maybe the ancients were here thousands of years ago aiding us in our development. We know that the ancients died out two thousand years ago and we have no clear evidence why. We have no fossil remains of these beings or any pictures or references to their anatomy. So we can't be sure what they looked like. We suspect that they were a peaceful according to the writings on their monolithic towers. I have proposed an interesting theory.

The Shivans were a race of living robots. Built in by the ancients for two reasons. Like I said before they were used to house the brain of a ruler or a high authority figure. Or they were used as slaves (part cybernetic part biological) They could have been used to build their space vessels and cities until a revolt came from one of the Shivan slaves. It must have caught on among the species and they destroyed the Ancients either for revenge or competition. They were so oppressed by the ancients they went on a quest to destroy any species that is a threat to their existence. This explains the reason the Shivans tried to destroy us. This also explains the reason the Ancients went Extinct.

SHIVAN ANATOMY

The Shivans are very strong and capable of piercing some of the strongest alloys known to man. They have three very powerful legs. Two in front, and one in the rear. They have five compound eyes that we suspect they see in infer red. They have sharp sickle like claws in their front two feet. They are about five meters long and two meters tall. They have a rigid Exeo-skeleton made of a sturdy carbon compound. The two to rear arms are what we suspect are its arms for manipulating the world around them. They communicate on a super-high frequency. Their vocal cords are fine bones behind their eyes that vibrate when hot air rushes past them. They are very nimble for their size, but in a gravity environment they are very sluggish. We have evidence that the Shivans have a queen-drone relationship. Meaning they have one queen and the rest are drones. They are independent thinkers by nature but they have a natural instinct to be loyal to the queen Shivan. We can support our speculations because after the Great War there was confusion among the species. They got increasingly aggressive and made many mistakes after the destruction of the Lucifer, the head of their armada. That is how we became able to defeat them. What puzzles me the most about the Shivans is their defense system. Most biological life has defenses like sharp needles like the porcupine, poison glands like snakes or certain frogs and in some rare cases, electric currents like the infamous electric eel. But the Shivan defense system is an Electro-static compression laser. This devastating weapon is armed on the left side if the head and can fire it off many times before its energy demand runs low. And the specimen becomes neutralized and tranquil. We estimate that the Shivans are about 75% biological and 15% cybernetic. The other ten-percent is an unknown material that emits a strong electric pulse about one hundred fifty times a minute. We believe this is their power source or their heart. Since they don't have blood or a circulatory system. The electric pulses probably power the cybernetic portions of the specimen like a small portion of the brain and its defense mechanism. When the specimen becomes tranquil the pulses slow to about three pulses per minute. And the specimen makes a strange wailing noise then shuts down temporarily. We believe this is a power-down procedure to allow it to regenerate.

Keep in mind this is only the beginning of our understanding of this deadly but very complex species. We have only begun to scratch the surface. We have learned a lot. But we have a lot more to learn.
