Alright, I'm finally writing another one. And its about the VBB... yipee.

OK... I'm tired of seeing everyone complain about the game continuously. Sure, I can understand you voicing your complaints about something one time. But when you start getting mad and crap... what? Yeesh. And how can anyone possibly say they were tricked or fooled into buying the game? That's foolish just saying that. These people must be about 10 years old and obviously haven't learned how the commercial market works. Marketing. Purchase of everything is based on it. Of course they want you to buy the game, but they didn't lie or trick you into buying it, they just use some nice words and bring out the best points of the game... it would be pretty stupid of them to put something like this on the back of the box:

"This game doesn't really work that well, but we hear its fun! It crashes a lot too... so watch out for that."

Now, I'm not referring to FS2 here (I have no problems with the game myself, just a couple minor issues.), but all games in general. If you went into a store, picked up a game, looked at the back and that was the first thing you read, what would you do with it? Buy it!? HELL NO! You'd throw that sucker down so fast people would think it caught fire. This is the basis of all marketing. They want you to see how great their stuff is, so they only write great stuff on the box. Its up to YOU to decide whether you want to purchase it or not. You can't blame anyone for 'tricking' you into buying it. You bought the damn thing, how the hell can you possibly put the blame on someone else!? You could have waited a day or two, read reviews, looked at message boards, asked people... hell, there's a million things you could have done to find out whether the game works, or it sucks, or whatever. Where do you get off saying you were tricked, you have no right whatsoever. You're to blame... get a life... and try studying up on how to spend money wisely...

And I really want to see people stop asking about an 800x600 resolution. Its not there... if you didn't see it in the setup, why do you need to suddenly ask? Do you think it magically disappeared from your game and everyone has it but you? And why are you complaining its not there? I mean... please... let me bring up a new word for you... "DESIGN ISSUE". The issue is, what resolutions do we support? OK, so there's not much of a difference in 800x600 compared to 640x480, and there's a hella lot of work to do... so forget it, we're not doing 800, its not much better than 640. This is basically how it went down. They took the issue, decided it wasn't worth it, and left it out. Get over it. This game isn't an FPS and it doesn't support 80 different resolutions... its really not much of a big deal.

I really want to see people stop guessing as to what the problem is. You're just guessing. And saying the code is sloppy is just moronic. The code is clean, I'm sure, but there's a bug in it. This is not sloppy code, this is just a bug. If you are a real programmer and have taken on anything large scale, you know damn well there's going to be a bug in your code. If you think there isn't... you're lying. Send me your program and give me five minutes... I'll break it... then you tell me there's no bug in it.

Also, people need to learn what the VBB is. Its a message board. Other people have _no_ way of knowing how much you know about the game, about computers, or about pizza. They just have to assume you don't know and explain it as if they were talking to someone who didn't... just in case. Its not a hit to your ego or anything, its a simple matter of having no possible way of knowing how much you know. They can't see you, can't hear you, can't talk to you. The only link is a bunch of words which have no emotional meaning. So if you ask a question, and get an answer that would be the same answer for a 2 year old, don't get mad, for all we know, you are a two year old... or at least type like one.

And damn again. People can't take the two extra keystrokes to type out "are" or "you". I mean, if you ask a question, you want people to understand you right? Take the extra time to use some good grammar and full words. Take this for example:

"what r shivans and how r subspace created? why rnt there no planets in FS?"

Now, I know that's understandable... but please, it takes you five minutes to read it. Try this:

"What are shivans and how is subspace created and used? Why aren't there any planets in FS, by the way?"

Now, see, that took me about 1 extra second to type... and its totally understandable and anyone can read it faster than I typed it.

And... uh... i guess that's all for now.
