FRED: Using Movement Commands

The following commands control either the camera (default) or the current ship, depending on how the viewpoint (in the View menu) is set:

The movement controls, normally used to control the camera, are as follows:

Key Effect     Key Effect
A Move forward 4 (keypad) Turn (yaw) left
Z Move back 6 (keypad) Turn (yaw) right
1 (keypad) Move left 8 (keypad) Turn (pitch) down
3 (keypad) Move right 2 (keypad) Turn (pitch) up
- (keypad) Move up 7 (keypad) Roll left (ship only)
+ (keypad) Move down 9 (keypad) Roll right (ship only)

The speed of moving and turning is controlled under the Speed menu.

Camera movement is different if "Rotate around object" is selected.
